All the planning and assessment taken care of
Each of the carefully planned experiments provides a complete unit of work, along with experiments, assessment, teacher notes and extension activities. Don't forget National Science Week 2010 is on from 14-22 August - why not celebrate by building experiments into each day of your teaching program.
How it works
- Register - Once you register, you'll be able to view one complete sample experiment and a list of the other five experiments available for the year.
- Activate - Once we've received your payment, we'll activate your account, allowing you to access all experiment resources.
- Participate - Once they're registered, your students can access materials, do the experiments, electronically submit their answers, and see how they did.
Frequently asked questions
- Who can participate? - Primary school students (grades 3, 4, 5 & 6).
- How much does it cost? - In Australia, the Science Challenge is $6 per student, plus a one off school admin fee of $30. New Zealand prices are as above plus $1 per event.
- When do I need to register? - Anytime before October 22.
- When can I do the Science Challenge? - Anytime during the school year.
- When do the certificates arrive? - The first batch of certificates will be printed on September 30. Schools that enter later will get their certificates when they complete all the experiments.
